About me.....

Born in Rome, I define myself as a multidisciplinary artist, with more than 30 years of experience in the ART that is my primary vehicle to create relationships between the visible, "the material" and the invisible, the "emotions" within a framework of action...a scenic environment, a backdrop, a home, a situation, an element.
My personal history in this field starts at 14 years experimenting and learning from professionals, artists and craftsmen, working in the field of the scenic design for the theatre, film and television in the workshops of scenic technique in Cinecittà and the Opera Theater of Rome, combining this work with the fine arts studies at the Academy of fine arts in Rome.
During my training and work, I felt the need to study the set at 360 ° for better understanding of the potential of the scenery, so I started to study cinema in the cinematographic Experimental Centre of Rome to see the scenic environment from the point of view of the camera lens.
At that time working as Assistant Director in the program "Donnavventura" of RAI2, due to a health problem of the camera operator and finding ourselves in the wilderness of Patagonia, the only option to continue with the shooting was to put me in front of the camera!, thus in a anecdotal way I was starting a new facet in my professional life as a Film Maker that I brought around the world for 10 years making documentaries for major chains of national and international television.
This experience has strengthened my artistic development through the permeability with a multitude of cultures with which I directly came into contact, from the Aborigines of Australia, the Indians of the Amazon, the settlers of the India and Tibet, until cultures of the Laplanders of Northern Europe, the Masai, the Zulu Africans... getting to know the customs of hundreds of peoples, and learning first-hand their way of treating the most diverse material, which has enriched my vision of the art of decoration combining the knowledge learned at work and in the University with the direct contact with so many different ethnic groups.
These experiences deeply marked my way of understanding the space and when I am involved in making a project both of interior design and scenic design, I feel influenced by them.
